Refund policy
We want you to love what you ordered. Here is how returns and refunds work at Inkwell General Store.
Books and physical goods (fulfilled by BooksCloud)
Most items are eligible for a return within 30 days of delivery. To qualify, items must be unused, in their original condition, and in original packaging where applicable. Books must be unread and free of damage.
To start a return, email us at hello@fpxp.io with your order number and a brief description of the issue. We will respond within two business days with return instructions. You are responsible for return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 to 10 business days after we receive the returned item.
Items from Shopify Collective supplier partners
Many products in our store ship directly from independent supplier partners through Shopify Collective. Inkwell does not handle, stock, or receive these goods. For Collective items, the supplier's own return policy applies — return windows, eligibility, and conditions vary by supplier and are typically 14 to 30 days from delivery.
To start a return on a Collective item, email us at hello@fpxp.io with your order number and the item(s) you want to return. We will submit a return request to the supplier on your behalf. If the supplier approves the return, they will send you return instructions directly. We cannot guarantee approval outside the supplier's stated return window or for items not in their original condition.
Refunds on Collective items are issued by the supplier after they receive and inspect the return.
Custom and print-on-demand items (Printful)
Items produced on demand (such as custom-printed apparel, mugs, or posters) are not eligible for return or exchange unless the item arrived defective or was produced incorrectly. If your item arrived damaged, please email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and we will arrange a replacement.
Non-returnable items
The following items cannot be returned: digital downloads, gift cards, and items marked final sale at the time of purchase.
