Sunset Mahjong Mat

The Sunset is Four Friends' signature mat: a full spectrum of warm color arranged so that tiles pop against it rather than disappear into it. The kind of thing you leave on the table after the game ends.

Neoprene construction addresses the three things players actually notice: noise (mahjong tiles are loud on bare wood or glass; neoprene absorbs most of the impact), surface friction (smooth enough for clean draws, textured enough to keep tiles where you put them), and grip (a rubber backing that stays put on any table surface). Pairs with any Four Friends tile set.

Four Friends Mahjong is a women-founded independent based in Lafayette, California. Started in 2024 by four friends — an architect, an IT director, a teacher, and a lawyer — who began designing tiles for their own weekly game nights and never stopped.
